Karel Čapek (9 January 1890 – 25 December 1938) was a Czech writer, playwriter and critic. He has become best known for his science fiction, including his novel War with the Newts (1936) and play R.U.R. (Rossum's Universal Robots, 1920), which introduced the word robot.
Our school, 2nd lyceum of Ierapetra, in order to give honor to this writer and introduced him to the students, created a presentation with a short video and after it the students played a game in www.kahoot.it to give a feedback about what they learned.
