Nowadays teaching means for us to sit in front of our computers, to meet with students or colleagues through webcams in video conference rooms, to answer emails and whatsapps or to work with virtual spaces whatever they are named in each country but….the lockdown has brought us something positive…our “list of things to do” has changed because now, we are at home “all the time”. Our hectic life belongs to the past and that’s why I have tried to make the most of my lockdown watching and reading some of my options in my “list of things to watch and read”. I am not going to recommend them to you. Reading and filming tastes, likes, moods must be respected but I am just going to share an anecdote which made me think we have so many things in common without even realizing it. Our partner Ayden sent me a message some weeks ago telling me she was impressed with a Spanish film “Platform” she had seen the previous night. I thought “which film is that one?” I checked: “El hoyo” (the hole) in Spanish….I had seen the same film (and I was as impressed as she was!) two nights before her message!!!! So here I share with you some of the TV series, films, books and even yoga sessions I have been enjoying these past weeks.
OCIO DURANTE EL CONFINAMIENTO
Actualmente enseñar significa para nosotros sentarnos delante de un ordenador, ver a los alumnos o compañeros a través de cámaras en video conferencias, responder correos y whatsapps o trabajar en plataformas virtuales tengan el nombre que tengan en cada país pero... el confinamiento ha traído algo positivo....nuestra “lista de cosas pendientes por hacer” ha cambiado y ahora, estamos todo el tiempo en casa. Nuestra vida frenética pertenece al pasado y por eso he intentado sacar lo mejor del encierro viendo y leyendo algunas de mis opciones de mi lista de pendientes por ver y leer. No voy a recomendarles nada. Debemos respectar los gustos, ánimos e intereses lectores y cinematográficos pero les cuento una anécdota que me hizo pensar que tenemos muchas cosas que compartimos sin ni siquiera darnos cuenta. Nuestra amiga Ayden, me envió un mensaje hace algunas semanas diciéndome que estaba impresionada con una película española llamada en inglés “Platform” que había visto la noche anterior. Pensé “¿qué película es esta? Y busqué su título en español “El hoyo”....¡había visto la misma película dos noches antes del mensaje y estaba igual de impresionada que Ayden! Así que aquí les dejo algunas de las series, libros e incluso sesiones de yoga que he disfrutado en estas semanas de confinamiento.
